Congrats to Drew Brees for setting the passing record. In a way, I consider this more significant than Dan Marino setting the record. When Marino played, there were a lot of more run orientated defenses, which made the passing game a bit easier.
But, with Brees and defenses geared towards defending the pass, he surpassed the record.

There is a thought that comes to mind: Defend better. You can be upset as you want, but that doesn't get you anywhere in the NFL. Don't blame Drew Brees, don't blame Sean Payton. Look in the mirror and say: Did I put 100% effort in trying to stop my assigned player from catching the ball? Did I put 100% effort in trying to get by the offensive lineman in order to make Drew Brees force throws? If the answer is yes and he still beat you, say "Kudo's to you Drew and the Saints, you outplayed us this week."
